The 37th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 01/28/2024
Though we lament the inability to secure a site for the traditional three weekends of the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire, we bring thee tidings of a temporary solution that shall not leave thee bereft of merriment. Behold, as the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire transforms Gainesville’s Depot Park into a bastion of medieval revelry, known as "Hoggetowne Goes Downtown" on January 27-28 from 10am-6pm. Admission shall be free for this condensed preview, where thee shall find many of the cherished highlights of yore. Artisans and craftspeople shall ply their trades with skill, olde world demonstrations shall enchant, and the clash of swords in stage combat shall resonate through the air. Let not thy heart be heavy, for medieval music and dance shall lift thy spirits, and a living chessboard shall unfold its strategic dance. Witness royal knighting ceremonies with the King and Queen, indulge in food court favorites, and savor the timeless delight of turkey legs! May the spirit of merriment and camaraderie prevail as we embark on this unique adventure, and may the echoes of the medieval revelry resound through Gainesville’s Depot Park in celebration of 37 years of grand tradition!
