40th Annual Luminaria at RAP

Earlier than ever, the 2024 Luminaria will be on Sunday, December 8 starting at dusk. This date was chosen to retain the fundamental elements of this incredible event: community camaraderie and involvement. It also gives us the added benefit of having a tentative rain date of December 22, 2024.

Luminaria Activities around the Neighborhood!
Find out where much of the fun Luminaria event activities are happening around the neighborhood – or look for The Resident December issue, where a guide and full-page map will be included. Activities at this time include:
- Memorial Park Association Celebrates 100th Centennial – December 14th
- Christmas in Avondale – December 6th
- This free, family-friendly event has been a treasured Jacksonville tradition in the Avondale Neighborhood for over 30 years. Every year, the Avondale Merchant Association shuts down St. Johns Avenue, Dancy Street, Ingleside Avenue, and Talbot Avenue, transforming Avondale into a magical holiday experience.

- Christmas music, Holiday Sing-along from 6-7:30 pm
- Friends of the Labyrinth at Peace Memorial Rose Garden Park
- Walk the Path of the Labyrinth, Bagpipe Performance. Hot Chocolate and Coffee will be available.
